File Locker 1.10

File Locker is a free app that helps protect your privacy by allowing you to password protect your applications and files. It offers a range of features that make it simple yet effective.

File Locker Features:

• Lock images, videos, audio files, text files, and apps.
• Organize your content with multilevel folder organization.
• Activate App Locker in the menu to lock specific apps. Please note that for newer devices, you will need to grant File Locker the Usage Data Access permission. Once activated, all locked apps will require your File Locker password to be opened.
• Set an Intruder Alert to capture a photo whenever there is a failed login attempt. You can choose to store the alerts in the app, send them via email, or both.
• Choose between Light and Dark Mode.

Usage Instructions Explained:

Create a folder structure:

• On the vault screen, click the add button (bottom right), then click "Create Folder".
• To create additional levels, click into the newly created folder and repeat the previous step.

Store an existing device file:

• Long press on a file, image, or video from another application. Click "share" and select File Locker. Please note that this action copies the file into your vault, it does not move it. Therefore, you will need to delete the original file unless you prefer to have multiple copies.
• Alternatively, on the vault screen, click the middle button to browse your device's file system. There will be an option to delete the file from the device after uploading it to the vault.

Create a new file:

• On the vault screen, click the add button and select the type of file you would like to create. The current options are text, audio, video, and image. You can either name the file immediately or rename it later.

App Credentials:

• Enter your email and password (password must be at least 8 characters long). Confirm your email to complete the registration process.

Additional Security:

• Optional MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) feature: provide and confirm your mobile number to receive 2FA OTPs (One-time Passwords) before signing into the app. This feature can be enabled in the Settings.
• Intruder detection feature: when enabled, it captures a photo of anyone using the device when incorrect credentials are entered. You can choose to store the image on the device, send it via email, or both. This feature can be enabled in the Settings.
• Files are encrypted within the app, ensuring they can only be viewed internally.

• To suggest or rate us, go to "Suggestions" in the menu, select the star rating, write your suggestion, and click submit.

This app is designed solely for securing user data using secure encryption. Users are solely responsible for any data loss. It is recommended to always keep a backup of important data. File Locker cannot be held liable for any data loss resulting from the user's misuse of the app. Users are advised to unlock all files before permanently uninstalling the app, as locked files can only be opened or unlocked by this app and will be lost if the user's phone is formatted or if the folder containing the locked files is deleted. Users are also encouraged to keep password protection enabled, especially if the phone is frequently used by others.
